On 24 June 2007 over 50 members, their family and friends, walked A Mile for Myeloma in Heaton Park. The walk was both to raise awareness of myeloma and to raise funds for the charity, Myeloma UK which is the only charity specifically for myeloma. Despite the rain shortly after we set off this didn't daunt us and the group raised over £1500.
